Amani Maihoub was born in Tartous, Syria. She completed her undergraduate studies in Music and English in the United States and holds an MSc in Social Anthropology from the University of Edinburgh and an MA in International Performance Research (Erasmus Mundus) from the University of Amsterdam and the University of Arts in Belgrade. She lives and works in Amsterdam.
