Imre van der Gaag is an architect who currently works and writes in Amsterdam, Groningen and Berlin. His architectural practice focuses on the functional and technical transformation of heritage and existing structures. Study and writing comes from a passion for the history and theory of architecture, the topic of monumentalism, re-use of existing structures, subcultural inhabitation of spaces and a strong belief in the power of architectural form.
