Yusra Alvi is an architect and design researcher, currently teaching architectural first-year students at COMSATS University in Lahore. Her work focuses on charting the affinities between local events and the global forces that produce them. Her most recent accomplishments include receiving a distinction at Bauhaus Dessau Foundation on her master's thesis, "Negotiating the city: women in urban spaces in Pakistan" and baking a giant red velvet cake.
