Lucas de Mello Reitz is a Brazilian architect, photographer, independent researcher and curator who works in visual cultures and critical spatial practice from a queer perspective. He has been a collaborating professor in various universities in Brazil and Belgium, lecturing in architectural history and theory and teaching as a design studio tutor. He is the co-director and curator of muq, a multidisciplinary platform speculating “the museum as practice” and building archives on queerness and eco-ethical crisis with participation in exhibitions and programmes in Brazil and beyond. He is also a member of Arquitetura Bicha queer architectural collective, contributes writing in magazines and websites and is an independent consultant in communication and editorial projects for architectural offices.
